Meadows, old trees, long and lovingly tended gardens: the Riederwald garden settlement is an idyll in the middle of the metropolis of Frankfurt am Main.
The Volks-Bau- und Sparverein Frankfurt acquired the site around 1909 and built the garden estate with 40 single-family houses and 198 apartment buildings for working families - the oldest part of the estate is now a listed building. With their different roof shapes, shutters and facades, the individual housing units still appear individual today.
The energy-efficient refurbishment had to do justice to the character of the estate. The GEALAN-LUMAXX® profile system in white was chosen for the windows. Narrow views, muntins, decorative profiles, no visible water slits and historical weather legs: GEALAN-LUMAXX® harmonises modern insulation values with historical appearance.
